The idea of reading this was shamelessly stolen from Becks but I'm grateful to her as it would otherwise have passed me by. This grotesque, tragic yet also strangely upbeat novel is a little, twisted treasure that makes me wonder what was really going on within its smug counterpart, 'I Capture the Castle'.
I have not caught up on your blog for soooooo long. Mea culpa. I loved this too. As I did all the books you got me for my birthday. And I must remember to check in here more often, although I can find no time to read at the moment whereas you seem to be managing one a week!! You lucky thing. Some good recommendations, think I might start with Eileen... Much love xxx
